Who is out in London this weekend to celebrate Pride?

The riot that changed America's gay rights movement forever

"Stonewall was a rebellion and a release of fear. But it was also the celebration of personhood by queer Americans standing proud and unashamed"

  1. Not out in London, but my city had a Stonewall March in June, and does a full Pride celebration in October. Thankful every day for those who fought for us to exist as we are.

  2. In Alabama we already had our Stonewall celebration and Pride parade! 🙌🙌🌈🌈

  3. Pride was really dark this year in the US for black trans women, so remember those brown and black stripes this year, yeah?

  4. I’m not from London sry .🤷🏻‍♀️😄But I already saw the photos of New
York Pride Parade, so cool! And stunning outfits 🗽💙❤️💙❤️🍭😍 have you seen?

  5. First quote that hit me …

“People who would normally not make a scene started one. We all got carried on the waves.”

    And this one is big:

“After Stonewall it all changed. We would no longer ask to please, please be allowed to be like the rest of you Americans. Now it was, to hell with you! We are taking, we are demanding, we were not going to be on our knees begging any more.”

Whoever went, really hope you showed your pride and didn’t give a f*ck!

  6. There’s “that orange-haired idiot in the White House”. Is that not the truest statement ever? But anyway, I am so in awe of everyone going to the Pride processions all over the globe- they are all heroes, so is everyone involved in the Stonewall Rebellion. 🏳️‍🌈 #Loveislove

  7. @∆Bronwen∆. Agree! Can’t wait to vote him out in 2020. [Don’t even get me started with Mike Pence, … I wanted Trump impeached, but then we would have Pence as president.]
